At the end of September I decided to go Tango dancing close to Udine. A long ride in the car from Zurich. In order to make the best out of the trip I took a week to travel and went trough Alto Adige and the Dolomites. I pepared my journey closely and chose some classical spots for photography - like Lago di Resia or Tre Cime di Lavaredo. I had two intense moments on my journey: First, after my sunset shooting at the Tre Cime I walked back to my hut in complete darkness and fog. I knew that I just had to stay on the path to reach my goal (Rifugio Auronzo), but it was a very spooky situation. Second, to get to the Zsigmondyhut I took a path that was mostly in the shade. Since it had snown a couple of days before, the steep path was still covered with snow and therefore very slippery. I used my tripod as a balance stick, trying not to fall down the mountain. My legs were shaking when I finally arrived at the top.
